Hi, I’m Kierra!


I’m a writer, editor and storyteller with an endless curiosity about people and the power of words to connect us.

That curiosity has taken me through newsrooms at Axios, POLITICO and CBS News, where I've spent time asking questions, chasing stories and finding creative ways to make complicated things make sense. 

At CBS News, I help shape our daily coverage by editing stories, refining headlines and making sure the news we deliver is clear, compelling and accessible to readers. On the side, I do communications work for Food For All DC, a nonprofit that provides food to low-income individuals.

Beyond the headlines, you'll probably find me at the movies, trying to become a better film photographer, supporting Chicago sports teams and watching Arsenal win the Premier League (again!). I'm a firm believer that curiosity makes life more interesting, and that a good story is just about everywhere if you're willing to look.
